About the Tour Guide – Chipseng Thor

I’m Chipseng, I’ve worked in tourism since 2004. Prior to Happy Journey Travel, I worked at Buffalo Tours, where I had the opportunity to lead many educational travel projects in Laos. Managing a grant from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), I created the Seuang River Programme that enabled community-based tourism as a cultural and environmental protection scheme. Following that, I continued with community building projects that help build schools, bridges, community halls, and other resources in local communities completing over 24 community projects since 2008. With Happy Journey Travel, I hope to bring further interest in community development and foster a love for the conservation of culture and nature in travellers’ minds. I love Laos, and I love travel – I can’t wait to meet you on your tour!
